据第一财经报道，山东中新食品集团有限公司曾表示，近几年国内肉鸭和肉鹅的出栏数持续减少，有一系列特殊的背景。2019年鸭鹅的出栏高点属于特殊情况，当年非洲猪瘟出现后，市场禽肉需求快速上升，推动了禽肉养殖数量的增长，但产业随即出现产能过剩的问题，加上之后猪肉供应的恢复和周期性低谷影响，因此肉鸭和肉鹅出栏数出现持续减少。
